Tickets

Bus tickets can be purchased on the Tpilet website, mobile application or ticket machines, bus station ticket offices, Cargobus terminals or from the bus driver.

Tickets can be purchased in advance for 10 to 180 days, depending on the bus company.

However, we recommend that all passengers arrive at the bus station (regardless of whether they already have a ticket) at least 15 minutes before departure.

You will be charged €0.30 per minute, plus local call charges imposed by your telephone operator and connection fees based on your service package (Telia €0.2278 per minute, Tele2 €0.23 per minute, Elisa €0.30 per minute – according to 31.08.2018).

  • TPILET

    From Tpilet you can search for schedules and buy bus tickets. After the payment, you can print your e-ticket or order your ticket number via SMS. More detailed conditions for using a self-printed ticket can be found HERE.

    From Tpilet ticket machine you can buy bus tickets. After the payment, the ticket machine prints put the ticket. Tpilet ticket machines are in Tallinn, Tartu, Rakvere and Jõhvi bus stations. Ticket machines’ opening hours can be found HERE.

    Depending on the bus company, online sales will end 5 to 60 minutes before departure from the initial stop.

    Ticket sales at ticket offices are generally closed 5 minutes before departure.

  • CARGOBUS

    From 01.07.2020, bus tickets can be purchased from Cargobus terminals all over Estonia. This option will help increase synergies between bus station convenience services, parcel delivery and ticketing.

    All Cargobus terminals across Estonia also have luggage hold, where you can conveniently store your travel bags if necessary.

  • BUS DRIVER

    Provided that there are available seats, tickets can be bought from the bus driver starting 5 minutes before departure. Payment is mostly in cash.

  • REFUNDING

    To return a ticket bought at the ticket office or a ticket machine, please turn to a ticket office at the suitable bus station, read more HERE. Returning a ticket purchased online is done on the Tpilet website, see more HERE.

    Returning a ticket bought at the bus station:

    • 100% of the price of the ticket will be refunded if the ticket is returned at least 24 hours before departure.
    • 60% of the price of the ticket will be refunded if the ticket is returned at least 5 minutes before departure.

    Returning a ticket bought online (at least 30 minutes before departure):

    • Regardless of the paid sum, the service charge for returning the ticket is €1.00. The money will be refunded within three business days.
    • Depending on the rules established by the bus company, a refund fee may be added when returning the ticket. See the rules established by specific carriers in more detail HERE.

    NB! Tickets cannot be exchanged!
